Overview:

This is a 3 part series led by Rev Jen Swindell. Before someone ever walks through your church doors, they've already started forming an opinion. Maybe they saw a friend's photo tagged at your church. Maybe they Googled "churches near me" on a Tuesday night. Maybe they drove past your sign and couldn't quite read it. Rev Jen Swindell is kicking off a three-part series on the First 5 C's of first impressions — Couch, Click, Curb, Come In, and Community — the five touch points that shape how someone experiences your church from the very first scroll to the moment they decide to stay. 

Part 1 (Sept 3, 10 AM CT), we'll dig into The Couch (what people see about you before they're even looking) and The Click (what happens when they actually search for you).

The Space Between (Sept 10, 9 AM CT) will be a check-in (no teaching)

Part 2  (Sept 17, 9 AM CT) we’ll be moving from the screen to the sidewalk. We'll explore The Curb — what your building, signage, and parking lot are communicating before anyone says hello — Come In — that critical first 60 seconds when a guest crosses the threshold — and Community — the follow-up systems that turn a visit into belonging. Where does Amazon leave your packages? Would a stranger know which door to use? What does your follow-up look like from Sunday to six months later? These might sound like facilities questions, but they're communications & first impressions questions, and they matter more than we think. 

Final Week, Part 3 You've scrolled like a stranger, Googled your own church, squinted at your signage, and thought hard about what happens after someone walks through the door. Now it's time to report back. What did you discover when you audited your own church? What surprised you? What's an easy fix, and what's going to take some longer conversations? Come ready to share your findings and hear what others uncovered. This is where the learning becomes the doing. 

Bring your phone — we'll be doing some real-time auditing of our own churches. Note: Session come with homework!
